Hi everyone,
I'm writing to let you know I've officially been accepted to Encompass and will be joining the team in Osaka, Japan!! I completed the application process at the end of March, and am now considered an appointee with Encompass.
What am I doing? Moving to Osaka, Japan, to join a church planting team with Encompass World Partners. My first term is a 6-year commitment (with a visit back to the States at 3 years).
When will I move? My current timeline for moving to Japan is 2025 / early 2026. This is flexible and could change depending on how long support raising takes.
What will I be doing in the meantime? I'm going to take things slow, focus on the personal goals Encompass has given me, complete various trainings, and raise the monthly support I need to be able to move. I'm also working part time at my church in CA.
How can you partner with me? I'm excited to be at the point where I'm looking for monthly financial and prayer partners! These are two ways you can join in what God is doing in my life and in Japan. There are many start-up costs including training, flights to Encompass in Atlanta, moving costs when I do move, etc. I am able to start receiving monthly gifts now, and any money in my account will be used toward these start-up costs. One-time gifts are also helpful toward these costs. I plan to do more focused partner development later this year, but wanted to include the link to my Encompass giving page if any of you feel led to start giving now. Prayer Requests:
Please be praying for the orientation week in Atlanta (May 20-25)! I'll be meeting with lots of people and learning a lot, so pray that I'll be healthy and able to fully engage while I'm there, and that it will be a fruitful and encouraging time.
I just moved to a new house, pray for the adjustment. I love my new place, but change is difficult for me.
Pray for wisdom as I feel the tension of living here in California, and also preparing for the future of living in Japan. I need wisdom to know what to commit to and how to manage my time well so I can focus on training with Encompass and support raising.
Pray for comfort and strength, as this journey to get to Japan often feels lonely. Pray that when I feel weak I will rely on God's strength.
